Our Services

Mayfair Animal Hospital is a full-service small-animal hospital, capable of handling almost any medical or surgical problem. We pride ourselves on an exceptional staff of five veterinarians with numerous highly skilled technicians, and our state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to routine, well-patient care, we offer hospitalization and intensive care, diagnostic laboratory testing, routine and specialized radiographic procedures, dentistry, nutritional counseling, and pet identification services.

The innovative design of our hospital facilities insures that intensive care and surgical patients are closely monitored by our trained staff. For patients requiring additional care, we maintain a close relationship and referral service with the Animal Emergency Clinic of Cary, Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice, Veterinary Specialty Hospital, and the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University.

General Information

• Appointments: In order to allow us ample time to fully examine your pet, perform any necessary diagnostics, and completely answer your questions and concerns, we prefer to see patients on an appointment basis. Walk-ins are accepted where appointment slots are open or time allows. Emergencies always receive priority treatment. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time so that we may update your information. For your safety and the safety of others please keep all dogs on a short leash at all times and transport cats in a carrier.
• Types of Pets Seen: We are a 5-doctor full-service small-animal hospital. Our patients consist of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and "pocket pets" (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, etc.)
• Payment for Services: Payment in full is expected at time of service unless prior arrangements have been made with the hospital's business manager. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and CareCredit. CareCredit has been a valuable resource for many of our clients. • Estimates: We are committed to ensuring that all fees and charges are fair and reasonable. We encourage you to ask for an estimate for services and treatments and will gladly discuss the estimate with you prior to incurring charges. Please remember that while we endeavor to provide an accurate estimate, treatment needs may change unexpectedly. In these situations every effort will be made to keep you informed and involved in your pet's health care needs.
• Senior Discount: We offer all senior citizens a 10% discount.
• Emergencies: We see emergency cases during our regular business hours. If your pet has an emergency at any other time, call the Animal Emergency Clinic of Cary at 919-462-8989. They are located at 220 High House Road, approximately one-tenth of a mile west of Old Apex Road.
